It’s just over one month until most of you will be moving from your current accommodation. We know! It feels like you just got here! You are welcome to stay in your accommodation until the final date of your contract. You can view this in the Accommodation Portal (where you accepted your offer).
There are a few things to keep in mind before you pack up and enjoy your summer.
You can drop them into the Sustainability Hub on Frenchay Campus (1D015) or at one of the Bristol Big Give bins on campus.
If you’re not taking them back with you, you can store them elsewhere until you come back to Bristol. Don't know where to start? We've made a student storage guide too.
Accommodation Services cannot accept any liability for any possessions left unattended.
We expect you to return them in the same condition you were given them. That means clean bathrooms, clear fridges and nothing left behind.
We don’t hold onto parcels over summer so any uncollected parcels won’t be here when you return in September.
Accommodation Services can't accept post for anyone that isn't a current resident, so make sure your online address book has been updated.
You can also redirect your Royal Mail post for a small fee. Find out how to do this on the Royal Mail website.
If you have one, make sure you either cancel it or transfer it to your new home. it’s really easy to do via the TV Licence website.
That way we know the room is empty and ready for final inspection.
For Frenchay residents, you can hand them back to Customer Services in 2N02 or pop them into the boxes at the Student Village Pavilions and in Wallscourt Park (by the Student Life Lounge/common room).
At Glenside, post it through the letterbox of 1H29.
Getting picked up from Frenchay? You’ll need to get a barrier code from East Reception. Security will register the vehicle, give the visitor a barrier code and tell them where to go.
You can find out more information on our pages on the UWE website.
We hope you have a lovely summer! If you have any questions, feel free to pop in and ask, give us a call or send us an email.
