Wai Yee Hong is a family-run Chinese supermarket located in the Eastgate Oriental City complex in Eastville, Bristol. Established in 1981, it has grown to become the largest supplier of oriental goods in the Southwest, offering a wide range of Asian and Oriental products, including Chinese, Thai, Malay, Singaporean, Korean, Indonesian, Filipino, and Japanese items.  

Transportation: Depends on the time and the bus availability  

For those using public transport, take the bus from UWE The Gardens

  • Wait at Bus Stop (E) 
  • Take the M1 MetroBus heading toward Bristol City Centre/Hengrove Park. 
  • Get off the bus at the stop near Eastgate Retail Park. The journey takes approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. 
  • From the bus stop, walk toward Eastgate Oriental City, where Wai Yee Hong is located. It’s about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. 15–20 minutes, including walking

Weekdays (9:30 AM – 6 PM)  Weekends (10:30 AM – 5 PM )

168 oriental in Nelson Street

168 Oriental ( Amy’s go to ) 

168 oriental is a well-established Asian Mart - located at Nelson Street, Bristol, BS1 2BJ. This supermarket offers a wide range of authentic Asian products, catering to the diverse culinary needs of the local community. 

Beside 168 , there’s a Sai Kung cafe , famous for their delicious Chinese noodles and pork rice so don’t forget to drop by. On the upstairs , there’s a thai restaurant called “PINTO” and a butcher with fresh meat and seafood. 

Transportation:  Wait at Bus Stop – E 

  • Take the M1/ M3/ M4 MetroBus heading toward Broadmead 
  • Ride 5 stops ( estimate 14 mins ) 
  • Walk 2 mins and you will reach your destination

Fondly known as 'Sweet-Mart' by its loyal customers, the store is often described as an 'Aladdin's cave of foods.'
