Celebrating 60 Years since the release of this classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical.

Set in 1938 Austria, the Sound of Music is about Maria, a young woman who is studying to become a nun.

Mother Abbess sends Maria to the villa of retired naval officer Georg Von Trapp to be the new governess to his seven children: Liesl, Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta and Gretl.

The Captain has been raising his children using strict military discipline following the death of his wife. The children have managed to scare away several governesses by playing tricks on them. Although the children misbehave at first with Maria, her kindness and patience mean the children soon come to trust and respect her.

The film features memorable songs like "Do-Re-Mi," "My Favorite Things," and "Climb Every Mountain."
