Letters
Each flat has a letterbox for their letters. The number on your letterbox matches your flat. It’s unlocked with the padlock code Accommodation Services emailed you when you moved in. Lost the email? No problem! Send them a quick email and they will reply with the code.
Glenside
You will find your letter box between car parks 4 and 5.
The Hollies
Your letters are delivered to the letterboxes in block 2, near the laundry room.
Parcels
Anything that won’t fit into the letterbox will be delivered to Accommodation Customer Services desk in 1H29 (opposite The Hub).
You will receive an email from Accommodation Customer Services when your parcel is ready to collect. Ignore any emails from your courier as Customer Service aim to process parcels within 48 hours of it arriving on campus, but during peak times (Black Friday, Christmas, etc.) it might take a little longer.
You will need to show your QR code from your email when you come to collect your parcel.
Your QR code is personal to you.
If you choose to share your QR code with someone else, you do so entirely at your own risk.
If someone else uses your QR code - whether with your permission or not - the University cannot accept responsibility or liability for any parcel that is lost, collected by the wrong person, or cannot be located afterwards.
Items we are unable to accept
There are a few items that we cannot accept:
- Large, heavy boxes weighing more than 15kg that cannot be lifted or moved (televisions, bicycles, weights)
- Perishable/food items (this includes food subscription boxes like Hello Fresh and bulk orders of food goods)
- Illegal substances
- Expensive items
- Knives
Accommodation Services are unable to accept any responsibility for parcels not delivered. If your parcel is missing, you must contact the courier company directly.
Current post room opening hours :
Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 16:00 - 18:45
Sunday - 15:00 - 17:45
Tips for collecting post and parcels:
- Add your student ID to your address so we can match it to you.
- Don’t use a nickname or abbreviations. Make sure to use the name you registered with as a student.
- Save yourself a journey and wait for our email to come through. If it hasn’t, your parcel will not be ready for collection.
- Don’t forget to change your address when you move out. UWE Bristol can only accept post for current students.
Sending post and parcels
Glenside Campus does not have an outward postal service. If you need to send a stamped letter you can find post boxes just outside Glenside Campus. Venture into Fishponds to use the Post Office (inside the Co-Op, BS16 2LE) to send any other mail and parcels.
