Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Sessions

Posted 3 months ago

Starting soon!

PAL sessions start from Starting Block (w/c 16th September) and include:

  • Programme PAL - standalone study workshops facilitated by a PAL Leader for a small group of students, or a Leader mentoring you during a taught seminar/studio/lab space.
  • Wellbeing PAL – open to everyone who wants space to talk about their feelings and experiences.
  • Academic Skills PAL – open to everyone who wants a little extra time to develop their study skills.

Programme PAL is open to Foundation and Year 1 students who would like to meet new people, consolidate their learning, and develop effective study habits. It is not another lecture or taught session and you’re not expected to do additional work. Come along with your questions and gain from the experience of your PAL Leader who has already completed the Foundation or first year of your course.

Accessing PAL:

  • By attending timetabled sessions
  • Engaging with your PAL Leader in a taught session
  • Booking onto Wellbeing or Academic Skills PAL sessions through the Events Diary and InfoHub.
