Bookable event space for all residents

Did you know you can book the Purdown View communal kitchen? It's great if you are looking for a venue to host a birthday party, cultural celebration or just a get together! 

The Galley kitchen is in block four, and accessed via the main door, opposite the Student Life Hub. 

Bookings last for up to six hours. The room has a maximum capacity of 12 guests, including the booker. We can only accept one event booking per day. Bookings can be made any day of the week. However, if you want the kitchen for a Saturday or Sunday, bookings must be submitted by 12:00 the Friday before.

Rules

The lead booker is responsible for the event. They must make sure to:

• Leave space clean and tidy. 
• Load and turn on the dishwasher at the end of the event. 
• Turn off all appliances after use of kitchen.
• Lock study lounge door after use of kitchen (place room card against door reader).
• Take all rubbish to the bin stores.
• Return the room key to Accommodation Services by midday (12:00) the following day
• Any damage or maintenance issues must be reported to accommodation@uwe.ac.uk 
• Space must be vacated by 22:00 
• No smoking or vaping in the kitchen.
• No candles or naked flames to be used in the kitchen (including birthday candles)
