Best places to eat and drink on campus
Get the full rundown of the grub you'll be getting on Frenchay campus.
You're spoilt for choice when it comes to the catering outlets available on campus. Tom and Liv, from the student life team, recently checked out a few of the bars, cafes and shops dotted around Frenchay, take a look:
Food and drink galore
Here are all the catering options currently available to you on campus:
- The Atrium (Bristol Business School building) - A café with outside seating serving locally-sourced food and drink through a full hot a la carte menu, fresh sandwiches, snacks and speciality hot and cold drinks.Signature dish: The Atrium Burger British beef burger, Monterey Jack cheese, smoked sweet cure bacon, lettuce, tomato served in a brioche bun with skin-on fries and slaw.
- The Grill (B Block) - The enthusiasts of piri piri sauce, serving meals bursting with flavour.Signature dish: Piri Piri coated crispy chicken strips.Must try: Loaded ‘Grill’ fries: seasoned lattice cut fries topped with pulled chicken, spicy sauce and cheese.
- Onezone restaurant (E Block) - Serving global cuisine and traditional flavours at unbeatable prices.Must try: The Buddha Bowl, a plant-based, wellness feast packed with good mood foods and wholesome ingredients.
- Wild kitchen (S Block) - Our resident chef cooks and prepares fresh honest, simple, great-tasting food that's beautifully presented and wonderfully 100% plant-based, delivering both on taste and quality and designed to leave you feeling good. We're honoured to partner with Greener Greens which supplies us with Microgreen leaves, grown on Frenchay campus.Signature dish: Iskender Kebab, 'chicken' strips with rice, tomato sauce, garlic and grilled peppers, served with a mixed salad.
- Subway (Q Block) - On the go? We've got you covered! At Subway, your favourite subs are freshly prepared, right before your eyes. Providing you with the best subs on campus! There's a lot to be excited about.
- GREGGS - For a great start to the day, enjoy a tasty bacon roll, a sausage baguette or pain au chocolat for breakfast. When lunchtime hunger hits, order a tasty sandwich, pizza slice or salad. Sweet treats, such as doughnuts, brownies and cupcakes, go perfectly with their drinks, such as a latte, mint tea or hot chocolate.
- Wafflemeister (located between Blocks E/F/N) - It’s always brunch-time somewhere in the world and there’s no better place to indulge than at Wafflemeister.
- Aspretto (T Block Future Space) - The destination for anyone with an interest in healthy eating. Hot drinks, a small selection of wraps, sandwiches, toasties and salads. Smoothie bar and the energizer juice. Hot dish every day.
- Del Vecchio's pizza (located next to R Block Costa) - Authentic Italian pizzas traditionally baked on campus.
- Street food community (Plaza walkway between X and Z Block) - Bristol Eats is an award-winning street food community that sells a range of delicious cultural cuisine. It offers one unique food stall experience per day.
- Good mood food (E Block opposite fruit and veg stall) - Freshly prepared smoothies and snacks.
Coffee fanatics, we got you covered
- Starbucks (E Block (inside Onezone)) - Our drinks range includes a wide range of premium coffees including whole bean and ground coffee, hot chocolate and a range of teas available. Our food range covers breakfast sandwiches/rolls and filled croissants as well as cakes, cookies and pastries to suit everyone’s tastes (microwaves available for use).
- Costa coffee: Proud to Serve (R Block) - Our Costa Coffee aims to give you the high street feel in a university setting. Come and experience the unmistakable taste of our mocha Italia blend coffee.
- Costa coffee (bus stop)
- The SU coffee shop (U Block) - Serves Costa coffee, sandwiches and paninis. (currently closed)
